What this 500 A MCCB delivers — and where the rating matters
It carries 500 A continuously at 40 °C without derating, and holds that same 500 A rating through 50 °C — at 55 °C it still delivers 488 A, at 70 °C it delivers 452 A. That thermal curve matters if this breaker lands in a non-climate-controlled enclosure or a panel near process heat. The interrupting rating is the headline number: 440 kA at 240 VAC. At 415 V and 440 V it interrupts 242 kA; at 500 V it handles 154 kA; at 690 V it still clears 17 kA. That is not a typo — this is a high-breaking-capacity frame sized for large fault-current duty where a standard MCCB would fail to clear and cascade upstream.
Three-pole construction, 138 mm wide, 248 mm tall, 110 mm deep. The auxiliary switch block accommodates 4 HQ auxiliary switches; the shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release is included for remote tripping.
