The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1450-7GF42-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 500 A continuous at 40 °C, with a TM240 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. That 500 A holds flat through 50 °C; above that it derates per the evidence — 488 A at 55 °C, 476 A at 60 °C, 464 A at 65 °C, 452 A at 70 °C. For a panel running at 55 °C ambient, the breaker's effective capacity is 488 A, not the nameplate 500 A. The interrupting ratings are given per voltage: 440 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 154 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V.
Line protection design and integration
