The Siemens 3VA1510-6EF32-0KA0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 1000 circuit breaker with a 70 kA breaking capacity at 415 V (class H). It carries a TM240 thermal-magnetic trip unit rated at 1000 A continuous, with overload protection adjustable from 700 A to 1000 A and short-circuit protection set at 5 to 10 times In. The unit ships with a factory-installed shunt trip on the left side, rated 208–277 V AC 50/60 Hz and 220–250 V DC, plus a nut keeper kit for the mounting hardware. That means the kit arrives complete — no separate accessory order needed for the shunt trip or the keeper hardware.
The TM240 trip unit gives you a thermal-magnetic curve — thermal for overloads, magnetic for short circuits — with the overload pickup adjustable across the 700–1000 A band and the magnetic pickup fixed at 5–10× In. That adjustability on Ir means you can fine-tune the protection to the actual load without swapping the trip unit.
What the shunt trip accessory does
The integrated shunt trip on the left side accepts control voltages of 208–277 V AC (50/60 Hz) or 220–250 V DC.
