70 kA at 415 V — the frame rating that decides the bus
The Siemens 3VA1510-6EF42-0BG0 is a 4-pole IEC frame 1000 circuit breaker rated for 70 kA breaking capacity at 415 V (class H). That Icu figure governs the upstream fault level it can clear without cascading — if your distribution panel's prospective short-circuit current exceeds 70 kA at the bus, this breaker is undersized for that tie position. The TM240 thermal-magnetic trip unit gives adjustable overload protection from 700 A to 1000 A and short-circuit pickup from 5 to 10 times In, so it covers a 1000 A feeder or a large motor branch where the full-load current lands in that band.
Included accessories — undervoltage release and auxiliary switch
This order code ships with a 24 V DC undervoltage release and one changeover auxiliary switch factory-installed. The undervoltage release trips the breaker when control voltage drops below dropout — standard for emergency-stop chains or safety circuits that need a shunt-trip response on loss of 24 V. The auxiliary switch gives a remote status contact for the PLC or SCADA. Both mount inside the 3VA1 frame, so no external bracket or wiring harness is needed; the N conductor is left unprotected (solid neutral bar).
