What the ratings mean for your panel
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2010-5HL32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current with no derating across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — that's a flat thermal curve, so you don't lose headroom when the panel runs hot. Breaking capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, and still holds 75.6 kA at 500 V — numbers that put this in the high-fault tier for industrial distribution. At 690 V it drops to 3 kA, so know your system voltage before you commit. The ETU320 electronic trip unit gives you adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves — it's a line-protection design, not a motor-protection device, so spec it for feeder or main breaker duty.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions: 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep. Mounts on a DIN rail or direct panel-mount via the screw terminals. The front face carries IP40 protection — fine for a dry indoor enclosure, not for washdown zones. No undervoltage release, no shunt trip, no communication module on this variant — it's a straight breaker with the ETU320. If you need remote tripping or status feedback, you'll add external accessories.
