What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA2010-5HL32-0JC0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) built for line protection in distribution panels. Three poles, rated 100 A continuous from 40 °C up to 70 °C with no derating across that band — that means you can install it in a warm cabinet without recalculating the load schedule. The adjustable thermal-magnetic trip covers 150 A minimum to 1 200 A maximum, so one breaker body covers a wide range of feeder sizes — useful for stocking a single frame across multiple panel builds. Short-circuit ratings hit 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V. It ships with a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release and two HQ auxiliary switches built in — wired for remote tripping and status feedback without adding external modules. Max power loss is 13.5 W, which keeps heat inside a panel manageable.
Panel fit and environment
Dimensions are 86 mm deep, 105 mm wide, 181 mm high — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosures. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module on this variant. Designed for line protection (not motor or generator protection), so the trip curve and accessories match feeder and main breaker duty in commercial and industrial switchboards.
