What this MCCB is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2010-5HL36-0AG0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) for line protection. It carries 100 A continuous at 40 °C through 70 °C without derating. The insulation voltage is 800 V. Breaking capacity is the headline number here: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA at 240 V means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 187 000 A — useful downstream of a large transformer where available fault current is high. At 690 V the 3 kA figure is low; this breaker is not intended for 690 V distribution but for standard low-voltage networks up to 600 V.
Physical fit and panel integration
Dimensions are 86 mm deep, 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall. That 105 mm width is the standard 4.13-inch footprint for a 3-pole SENTRON 3VA frame — it fits existing panel layouts designed for the 3VA family without drilling new mounting holes. The auxiliary switch configuration (1 auxiliary + 1 trip alarm switch) is built in, so no separate add-on module is needed for remote status or shunt-trip feedback.
