MCCB for high-fault panel builds
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2010-5HL36-0BD0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then 75.6 kA at 500 V, dropping to 3 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA figure at 240 V means it clears high-fault bolted faults on the secondary side of a typical 480 V–208/120 V distribution transformer without upstream coordination issues.
Line protection with undervoltage release
No ground-fault monitoring or communication function is included, so plan for external GFCI or metering if those are required.
Panel fit and wiring constraints
The 105 mm width occupies three 35 mm module spaces; the 86 mm depth leaves clearance for rear-access busbars or a 100 mm deep enclosure.
