At 415 V and 440 V the breaker holds 121 kA; at 500 V it drops to 75.6 kA, and at 690 V it's still rated 3 kA. That 187 kA at 240 V is the headline number for North American 240/120 V distribution — enough to sit behind a transformer with high available fault current without cascading upstream.
