What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2010-5HL36-0JH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient temperature range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to the top of that band. Its breaking capacity reaches 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V — figures that cover most industrial fault-current scenarios up to the 690 V tier. Designed for line protection, this MCCB includes a shunt trip (STL) and comes with two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ), giving the panel builder both remote status and alarm feedback without extra wiring.
Mounting and panel fit
The breaker measures 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — a footprint that fits standard SENTRON panel cutouts and leaves room for side-by-side mounting in multi-pole groups. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range extends from -40 °C to 80 °C, so it can sit on the shelf or in a non-climate-controlled enclosure without issue.
