What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2010-5HN32-0BL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current (Iu) with an ETU350 electronic trip unit. It delivers 187 kA breaking capacity at 240 V, 121 kA at 415/440 V, and 79 kA at 500 V — enough to handle high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) gives headroom for 480/600 V class panels. This is a line-protection version (no voltage trigger, no phase-failure detection, no ground-fault monitoring). It includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and a full auxiliary contact set: 2 auxiliary switches + 1 trip alarm switch + 1 electrical alarm switch HQ. The basic switch is 3VA2010-5HN32-0AA0; the integrated auxiliary trip is 3VA9608-0BB11.
Thermal derating and power loss
The breaker holds full 100 A up to 50 °C ambient. Above that it derates linearly: 96.25 A at 55 °C, 92.5 A at 60 °C, 88.75 A at 65 °C, 85 A at 70 °C. Maximum power loss is 16 W. Operating range is -25 °C to +70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C. That 70 °C operating ceiling matters if the breaker sits near other heat sources in a crowded panel.
Mechanical endurance and mounting
Rated for 20,000 latching operations. Footprint is 105 mm wide × 181 mm high × 86 mm deep — standard 3-pole MCCB envelope for Siemens SENTRON 3VA frames. Mounts on a DIN rail or with rear-mounting plate; the 86 mm depth leaves room for wiring gutters in a 200 mm deep enclosure. Trip indicator is present.
