Rated for a 100 A feeder, flat across the full ambient range
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2010-5HN36-0CL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current, and it holds that rating from 40 °C all the way up to 70 °C ambient — no derating curve to chase through the panel schedule. Breaking capacity is 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415/440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V — so it handles high-fault scenarios on the low-voltage side while still clearing a 690 V motor feeder if that's where the line protection lands. This is a line-protection design (not a motor-protector or a switch-disconnect), meaning it's sized for feeder and distribution duty inside the panelboard.
Auxiliary and release complement — pre-configured for undervoltage and alarm signaling
Factory-fitted with an undervoltage release and a complement of 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm and 1 electrical alarm switch — so it can drop the breaker on a loss-of-voltage condition and report trip status back to the PLC or BMS without field-wiring an add-on module. Trip indicator is present, giving a local mechanical flag that stays visible even if the control power is dead — useful during fault isolation.
Physical fit and panel integration
Dimensions are 86 mm deep, 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall — a standard SENTRON 3VA footprint that drops into a DIN-rail or screw-mounted panel assembly without re-drilling the backplate. Power loss is 16 W maximum at rated current, so thermal planning inside a sealed enclosure needs that dissipation accounted for, but it's not high enough to force forced-air in a normal 4x4 panel.
