What the ratings mean for fit
The 3VA2010-5KP32-0KA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated 100 A continuous across the full 40–70 °C ambient range — no derating needed up to that ceiling. That 100 A holds steady even at 70 °C, which is unusual; most breakers start tapering above 40 °C. The interrupting ratings climb to 187 kA at 240 V, drop to 121 kA at 415/440 V, and fall off to 75.6 kA at 500 V, then 3 kA at 690 V. For a 100 A frame, that SCCR headroom at 240 V is generous — it handles high-fault utility feeds without cascading upstream. The 800 V rated insulation voltage means it's specced for 690 V line-to-line systems with margin. Three poles, no undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, but it does carry a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release and a communication function for remote trip or status. The supplied basic switch is 3VA20105KP320AA0. No trip indicator on the front — you'll know it tripped from the communication signal or the shunt trip circuit.
Panel fit and environment
Footprint is 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep — standard 3-pole MCCB envelope for DIN-rail or screw-mount panel integration. Operating range is -25 to 70 °C; storage from -40 to 80 °C. Max power loss is 13.5 W, so no forced cooling needed in a typical ventilated enclosure. The communication function and shunt trip add wiring, but the depth leaves room behind the door for those connections.
