What this breaker is and what it does
The SENTRON 3VA2010-6HL36-0BK0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current, designed for line protection in industrial distribution panels. It carries a full suite of interrupting ratings: 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V — so it handles high-fault-current scenarios typical of transformer-fed switchboards without cascading upstream. The breaker includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and a factory-fitted auxiliary switch block: one auxiliary switch, one trip alarm switch, and one electrical alarm switch (HQ type). That means you get remote status indication for both the main contacts and the tripped state — useful for PLC-driven shutdown sequences or panel annunciation.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions are 181 mm high, 105 mm wide, 86 mm deep (7.13 × 4.13 × 3.39 in). The 105 mm width is standard for a 3-pole MCCB in the 100 A frame.
Thermal performance across the panel ambient range
The breaker holds its full 100 A rating from 40 °C through 70 °C ambient — no derating needed in a warm enclosure. That's a solid spec for a panel sitting near a furnace line or in a non-conditioned electrical room.
