What this MCCB is and what it does
The 3VA2010-6HN32-0CA0: Breaking capacity is the headline: 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 4 kA at 690 V. That 242 kA at 240 V is a high-interrupting rating — suitable for large transformer secondaries or utility tie points where fault current is severe. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so it's rated for 690 V line-to-line systems without derating the insulation path.
Thermal derating and panel fit
Rated 100 A up to 50 °C ambient; above that it derates linearly to 85 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs hot — say 55 °C in a sealed enclosure — you're at 96.25 A, so plan your load margin accordingly. Dimensions: 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep. Maximum power loss is 16 W at rated current — a modest heat load, but in a dense panel with multiple breakers, sum them for your enclosure thermal calculation.
Environmental and lifecycle
Operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C. Latching endurance is 20,000 operations. No trip indicator, no phase-failure detection, no other measurement function. This is a base-line-protection SKU — the ETU350 gives you adjustable protection curves but no integrated metering or diagnostics.
