What this 100 A MCCB delivers on the line
The Siemens 3VA2010-6HN32-0CL0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed as the panel warms up near the top of the enclosure. Three-pole design with a trip indicator and an undervoltage release (UVR) built in. A voltage dip on the control supply drops the breaker open. Interrupting capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V and still 187 kA at 415 V, meaning it can sit at the main distribution point in a high-fault plant without needing a current-limiting upstream breaker.
Panel fit and footprint
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA2 frame that bolts into a panel on a mounting plate or DIN-rail adapter. The 86 mm depth leaves room behind the gland plate for cable bends. Auxiliary switch complement is two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm and one electrical alarm switch (HQ design), so the PLC gets a dedicated fault signal without sharing contacts. Maximum power loss of 16 W at rated load keeps the internal enclosure temperature rise manageable — factor it into your thermal budget if the breaker shares a compartment with drives.
