Interrupting capacity and selectivity
The 3VA2010-6HN36-0JL0: This MCCB delivers 242 kA interrupting rating at 240 V, dropping to 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then 121 kA at 500 V, and 4 kA at 690 V. That 242 kA at 240 V is the headline number for high-fault service entrance or main breaker duty where available fault current is extreme. The 4 kA at 690 V still covers most industrial 690 V distribution, but selectivity studies at that voltage need the lower ceiling.
Trip unit and auxiliary contacts
The ETU350 electronic trip unit provides LSI protection (long-time, short-time, instantaneous) with adjustable settings. A shunt trip (STL) release is built in for remote tripping. The auxiliary contact block includes 2 auxiliary switches, 1 trip alarm switch, and 1 electrical alarm switch HQ — enough for status feedback to a PLC or SCADA without an add-on module.
Thermal derating and environment
Rated 100 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates linearly to 85 A at 70 °C. Operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 13.5 W. Dimensions are 86 mm deep, 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall — fits standard SENTRON 3VA2 panel cutouts. Panel integration: mounts on DIN rail or direct panel; the 105 mm width matches the 3VA family footprint.
