Trip unit and protection capabilities
The ETU850 electronic trip unit supports communication and additional measurement functions — it can report load current and event data over the integrated communication interface, which is useful for energy monitoring or predictive maintenance schemes. Ground-fault monitoring is not built in; that requires an external module or a different variant. Front protection is IP40, suitable for indoor panel installation where no washdown or dust ingress is expected. Power dissipation at rated current is 13.5 W maximum — factor that into your enclosure thermal budget, especially in densely packed panels with multiple breakers.
