What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA2010-7HN32-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. It's a 3-pole line-protection device fitted with an ETU350 electronic trip unit, which gives you adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves without swapping thermal elements.
Interrupting capacity — what those numbers mean for your panel
This breaker carries a 330 kA interrupting rating at 240 V AC and 242 kA at 415/440 V. At 500 V it still holds 187 kA, dropping to 3 kA at 690 V. That kind of headroom means it can sit upstream of smaller branch breakers and still clear a bolted fault without welding its contacts shut — critical for selective coordination in a distribution panel.
Mounting and panel fit
Dimensions are 86 mm deep, 105 mm wide, and 181 mm tall. It mounts on a DIN rail or directly to a backplate via the screw terminals. The front face carries an IP40 protection rating — fine for a dry indoor panel, but keep it behind a gland plate if the enclosure sees washdown.
