What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2010-7HN36-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for a continuous current of 100 A across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its ETU350 electronic overcurrent release handles line protection with adjustable trip curves, and the interrupting capacity hits 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415/440 V, and 187 kA at 500 V, dropping to 3 kA at 690 V. That 330 kA figure at 240 V means it can clear a fault on a high-capacity transformer secondary without the breaker itself failing — a key spec for industrial service-entrance or large-panel feeder duty.
Panel fit and environment
Mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount base; the 105 mm width and 86 mm depth fit a 3-pole MCCB slot in a SENTRON distribution board or a custom enclosure. IP40 on the front means it's protected against tools and wires >1 mm — fine for a dry indoor panel, but not for washdown zones. The power loss is 7.7 W maximum, so thermal rise inside a sealed cabinet is manageable with basic ventilation.
