What this 4-pole MCCB brings to the panel
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2010-8JP46-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for a continuous current of 100 A across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. That makes it a straight drop-in for a 100 A feeder or branch circuit where the panel ambient runs warm. The ETU550 electronic trip unit gives you adjustable LSI protection (long-time, short-time, instantaneous) plus ground-fault signalling if you add the external module; the breaker itself ships without ground-fault monitoring. Breaking capacity is substantial: 440 kA at 240 V, 330 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 220 kA at 500 V, and still 52.5 kA at 690 V. That covers high-fault utility feeds and transformer secondaries without needing a current-limiting fuse upstream.
Mounting and integration notes
Footprint is 140 mm wide by 181 mm tall by 86 mm deep — standard for a 4-pole SENTRON 3VA frame. It mounts on a DIN rail or can be screw-fixed to a backplate. The front face carries IP40 protection.
