What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2025-6HM32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated at 25 A continuous, with an ETU330 electronic trip unit. It's the line-protection version — no undervoltage release, no voltage trigger, no communication module — just straight overcurrent and short-circuit protection for a feeder or branch circuit. What sets this breaker apart is its interrupting capacity: 242 kA at 240 V AC, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V. That's a lot of fault-current muscle for a 25 A frame — it'll ride through a high-capacity transformer secondary or a large motor-control center without needing upstream current-limiting fuses. The ETU330 release provides adjustable long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection via summation-current method on the L conductor.
Footprint and panel fit
It measures 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, and 86 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA fixed-mount footprint. The IP40 front face means it's fine inside a deadfront panel; just don't hose it down on the route. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V. The 25 A rating holds steady from 40 °C to 70 °C.
