MCCB with ETU330 — interrupting capacity and thermal flatness
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2025-8HM32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated at 25 A continuous (Iu) with an ETU330 electronic trip unit. Its interrupting capacity reaches 440 kA at 240 VAC, 330 kA at 415 VAC and 440 VAC, 220 kA at 500 VAC, and 52.5 kA at 690 VAC — which means it can clear fault currents across a wide voltage range without cascading upstream breakers, a key advantage for high-fault panels close to the transformer. The thermal rating holds flat at 25 A from 40 °C through 70 °C, so no derating is needed even in a warm enclosure. That simplifies panel design — the breaker delivers its full ampacity across the typical industrial ambient span. Rated insulation voltage Ui is 800 V, and the front face carries IP40 protection — fine for a clean panel interior, but keep it out of direct washdown zones.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or screw-mounted panel layouts. The 86 mm depth is the dimension to watch for gland-plate clearance on shallow enclosures. The ETU330 electronic trip provides adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves, and the breaker supports an optional motor drive (product extension). No undervoltage release or communication module is fitted on this variant.
