It's designed for line protection in distribution panels where adjustable overcurrent response and high interrupting capacity are required. The ETU320 trip unit gives you an adjustable thermal-magnetic style response curve, with the continuous current setting range spanning 60 A to 480 A — so the 40 A frame can be tuned to protect downstream conductors or equipment without swapping the breaker body. Breaking capacity reaches 242 kA at 240 V, dropping to 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V.
