The Siemens 3VA2040-7JP32-0AA0 is a SENTRON 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 40 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its 3-pole construction and ETU550 electronic trip unit make it a line-protection breaker with communication capability, suited for main or feeder duty in distribution panels where you need adjustable protection curves and remote monitoring.
This MCCB delivers 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V. For 400 V-class panels (the common industrial distribution voltage), the 242 kA interrupting rating covers virtually any utility transformer size you'll encounter.
