63 A MCCB with ETU320 — breaking capacity across the voltage range
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2063-5HL32-0AE0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current (Iu) across ambient temperatures from 40 °C to 50 °C, with a slight derating curve starting at 55 °C down to 53.55 A at 70 °C. The ETU320 electronic trip unit handles the overcurrent protection profile — no undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication function on this variant. Breaking capacity is specified per voltage: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 79 kA at 500 V, and 3.4 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA figure at 240 V is the headline number for high-fault applications on the low-voltage side of a distribution transformer.
Panel fit and auxiliary switching
Mounting dimensions are 105 mm wide by 181 mm high by 86 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA2 frame footprint that fits existing panel cutouts and busbar arrangements. The front face carries IP40 protection, meaning it's protected against tools and solid objects over 1 mm but not sealed against water ingress; keep it inside a rated enclosure. Four auxiliary switches (HQ version) are integrated, giving you two normally-open and two normally-closed contacts for status feedback to a PLC or annunciator panel without needing an add-on module.
