What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2063-5HL36-0AC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated 63 A continuous, designed for line protection in distribution panels. Its 187 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V means it can clear a bolted fault at the service entrance without upstream fuses needing to open — that's selectivity headroom for a main or feeder breaker. At 415 V and 440 V it still holds 121 kA, dropping to 75.6 kA at 500 V and 3 kA at 690 V, so the SCCR you need at your system voltage is the one that governs the fit. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, which covers 480/277 V and 600 V delta systems with margin. The breaker carries two HQ auxiliary switches built in — no separate add-on needed for status feedback to a PLC or indication lamp.
Thermal performance across the panel ambient range
This MCCB is rated 63 A from 40 °C all the way up to 70 °C ambient — no derating curve to calculate for a hot enclosure. That's unusual for a molded case breaker; most start tapering above 40 °C. If your panel runs at 60 °C near the top of a NEMA 12 cabinet, this holds its full 63 A rating.
Panel fit and dimensions
Footprint is 105 mm wide by 181 mm tall by 86 mm deep — a 3-pole MCCB that fits standard Siemens SENTRON mounting bases and busbar systems. No special adapter plate needed for a 3-pole cutout in a distribution panelboard.
