What this MCCB is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA2063-5HL36-0AD0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) sized for line protection in distribution panels. It carries a continuous rated current of 63 A across the full ambient temperature range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling, which simplifies panel sizing in warm enclosures. Three poles handle three-phase circuits. The interrupting capacity is what decides where this breaker lands in a selective coordination study: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA figure at 240 V is high — it sits this breaker upstream of most downstream devices without needing a current-limiting fuse ahead of it. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V. The basic switch supplied is order code 3VA20635HL360AA0, with three auxiliary switches (HQ). No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication function.
Panel fit and footprint
Dimensions are 181 mm high, 105 mm wide, 86 mm deep. The 105 mm width is the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for this SENTRON frame size.
