63 A MCCB for line protection
The Siemens 3VA2063-5HL36-0AH0 is a SENTRON 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current across the full ambient range from -25 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its 3-pole, line-protection design makes it a direct fit for feeder circuits in distribution panels where the priority is thermal-magnetic coordination with downstream breakers, not motor or generator protection.
Interrupting capacity by voltage level
This MCCB delivers 187 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V. The steep drop at 690 V means you need to verify the available fault current at that voltage level — this breaker is optimized for 240–500 V distribution where most industrial panel faults sit. At 690 V it still clears, but only for low-fault installations.
Auxiliary switching and trip indication
Factory-fitted with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ type). The trip indicator gives a local mechanical flag — no separate voltage trigger or undervoltage release is included, so if you need remote shunt trip or UVR, that has to be added externally. No communication function onboard; this is a standalone breaker, not a metering or power-monitoring device.
Dimensions and panel fit
Measures 86 mm deep, 105 mm wide, 181 mm high. The 105 mm width is standard for a 3-pole 3VA2 frame — it occupies one 105 mm module on the DIN rail or mounting plate. No special cutout required beyond the standard 3VA2 footprint. The 5.4 W maximum power loss is modest; ventilation around the breaker is still advisable if it's grouped with other high-current devices in a sealed enclosure.
