What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens 3VA2063-5HL36-0CH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current (Iu) on a 3-pole frame. It ships with an ETU320 electronic trip unit configured for line protection — no ground-fault or communication module on this variant. The undervoltage release (UVR) is integrated at the factory, so if you need a UVR on the BOM, this order code already has it; no separate auxiliary release to order and snap in. Breaking capacity runs 187 kA at 240 V AC and 121 kA at 415/440 V, then drops to 79 kA at 500 V and 3.4 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA figure at 240 V means this breaker clears high-fault-current events on the secondary side of a distribution transformer without cascading upstream — useful for large panelboards or switchboards where the available fault current is known to be stiff. Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that fits SENTRON mounting accessories and busbar systems. The 86 mm depth is the body-only dimension; factor in the rotary handle or extended-rotary operator if your enclosure depth is tight.
Thermal derating and operating range
The 63 A rating holds flat from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient. Above that it steps down: 60.6 A at 55 °C, 58.3 A at 60 °C, 55.9 A at 65 °C, and 53.6 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the real continuous current you can pull is the derated figure — not the nameplate 63 A. The operating ambient floor is -25 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
Auxiliary contacts and trip signaling
Factory-fitted with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip-alarm switch (HQ designation). That gives you two form-C contacts for status feedback and a dedicated alarm contact that changes state only on a trip event — not on manual open/close. The integrated trip-alarm switch is wired to the ETU320's internal flag; no extra add-on block needed for remote trip indication.
