What this MCCB delivers in the panel
The Siemens 3VA2063-5JQ32-0DH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 63 A continuous at 40 °C, with a straight thermal-magnetic curve that holds 63 A across the entire 40–70 °C ambient range — no derating needed up to 70 °C. That 63 A is the full-scale value; the adjustable thermal trip starts at 16 A minimum, so this breaker covers motor feeders and distribution subfeeds that need a 63 A frame but a lower trip setting. Breaking capacity is 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415/440 V, and still 75.6 kA at 500 V — that SCCR headroom lets it sit ahead of a transformer or close to a high-fault service entrance without cascading upstream. At 690 V it drops to 3 kA; use it only on solidly grounded wye systems at that voltage. Three-pole construction, line-protection design (no ground-fault or energy-reducing maintenance switch built in). The auxiliary switch block ships as 2 aux + 1 trip-alarm HQ contacts. Undervoltage release is factory-installed — coil holds at nominal, drops out below threshold, which locks the breaker open until the UVR is manually reset.
