63 A continuous, flat across the thermal range
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2063-5KP32-0AG0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current — and it holds that rating from 40 °C all the way up to 70 °C ambient without derating. That means a panel running at elevated internal temperatures still gets full 63 A capacity; no need to oversize the frame for a hot enclosure. Interrupting capacity is 187 kA at 240 V AC, dropping to 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V. The 187 kA figure at 240 V is the headline number — it handles high-fault utility feeds at 240 V without cascading upstream. At 415/440 V the 121 kA still covers most industrial transformer-secondaries.
Line protection with communication
This breaker is designed for line protection (feeder duty), not motor circuit protection — it's the right choice for distribution panels, sub-feeders, and branch circuit protection where you need selectivity. The communication function allows integration into a monitoring network, so a controls integrator can read trip status and current draw without a hardwired auxiliary contact. Physical footprint: 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep (4.13 x 7.13 x 3.39 inches). The 3-pole frame fits standard Siemens SENTRON mounting; the auxiliary switch configuration is 1 auxiliary switch plus 1 trip alarm switch (HP type) — verify wiring if you're replacing an existing breaker with a different aux count.
Current production, no lifecycle concern
Rated insulation voltage is 800 V. Power loss is 5.4 W maximum. Storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C; operating range -25 °C to 70 °C.
