What this MCCB is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA2063-6HL32-0HH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 63 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Three-pole design with line protection as its intended duty, meaning it sits upstream protecting a feeder or distribution bus, not a specific motor starter. Breaking capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V, drops to 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then 121 kA at 500 V, and 3 kA at 690 V — so it handles high-fault utility feeds at low voltage but you'll want to check coordination for 690 V applications where the fault current is low anyway.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, and 86 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA2 footprint that fits most distribution panelboards without gland-plate rework. Power loss is a modest 5.4 W max, so thermal rise in a dense enclosure is manageable. The breaker ships with a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release and two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ configuration) already integrated — no separate add-on modules to order for basic remote signaling. No communication function onboard, so if you need remote monitoring via Modbus or PROFIBUS, you'll be adding an external communication module or a separate metering device.
