63 A MCCB with 242 kA breaking capacity — line protection for high-fault panels
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2063-6HN32-0CL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current across the full 40 °C to 70 °C ambient range — no derating needed up to 70 °C. Its interrupting capacity reaches 242 kA at 240 V AC, 187 kA at 415/440 V, and 121 kA at 500 V, making it suitable for high-fault installations where upstream coordination demands extreme short-circuit headroom. At 690 V the rating drops to 3 kA, so confirm the system voltage against that curve.
Built-in undervoltage release and auxiliary switch complement
This MCCB ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) as the auxiliary release, plus a factory-fitted auxiliary switch block: 2 auxiliary switches, 1 trip alarm switch, and 1 electrical alarm switch (HQ type). The UVR ensures the breaker trips if control voltage drops below the dropout threshold — a standard requirement for safety circuits and emergency-stop chains. The alarm switches provide remote status for PLC or SCADA without external relays.
DIN-rail footprint and panel fit
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep. The 105 mm width (4.13 in) matches the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for Siemens SENTRON 3VA2 frames — it occupies three 35 mm DIN-rail modules plus a small gap. Depth of 86 mm (3.39 in) leaves clearance for rear-mounted busbars or cable lugs in a typical 200 mm deep enclosure.
