63 A MCCB with high interrupting capacity for line protection
The Siemens 3VA2063-6HN32-0KC0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated 63 A continuous current across the full temperature range from 40 °C to 70 °C, so no derating needed as the panel warms up on a hot shift. It's a 3-pole unit built for line protection, meaning it's the primary overcurrent device guarding the feeder, not a motor circuit protector. Interrupting capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V and still carries 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, dropping to 121 kA at 500 V and 3 kA at 690 V. That's a serious fault-current rating — it'll clear a bolted fault on a big transformer secondary without the arc flashing over.
What the ratings mean for your panel
Dimensions are 105 mm wide by 181 mm tall by 86 mm deep — that's a standard SENTRON 3VA2 frame footprint. It'll drop into a DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosure without needing to re-layout the gland plate. This breaker ships with a shunt trip (STL) release and two HQ auxiliary switches built in. The shunt trip lets you remote-trip from an E-stop or PLC output; the aux switches give status feedback for the SCADA or a panel lamp. No undervoltage release on this variant — if you need UVR protection, that's a different order code. Power loss is 5.4 W maximum, so it won't cook the neighboring components in a crowded enclosure. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
