MCCB for high-fault panels
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2063-6KP32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its interrupting capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V and 187 kA at 415 V, which puts it squarely in the high-fault category for industrial main or feeder panels where upstream transformer or generator fault currents are substantial. The ETU850 electronic trip unit handles line protection with communication capability — you get remote monitoring and adjustable curves, not just a thermal-magnetic fixed trip.
Breaking capacity across voltages
At 440 V it still delivers 187 kA; at 500 V it drops to 121 kA; at 690 V the rating is 3 kA — the part is optimized for 240–500 V distribution, not for 690 V main breakers. Insulation voltage is rated at 800 V.
Panel fit and environment
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that drops into most SENTRON mounting bases or panel-mount kits without re-drilling. Front protection is IP40, meaning it's splash-proof from the front but not sealed against hose-down — keep it in a dry enclosure or a panel with a door. Operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 5.4 W — negligible for thermal budgeting inside a crowded panel.
