What this MCCB delivers — and what the ratings mean for your panel
The Siemens 3VA2063-8JP46-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for line protection in a 4-pole configuration. Continuous current is 63 A (Iu) with no derating from 40 °C through 70 °C — that flat thermal curve means you can load it to 63 A in a warm enclosure without stepping down the frame size. The ETU550 electronic trip unit gives you adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves, plus communication capability onboard for status and trip data. Breaking capacity runs from 440 kA at 240 V down to 52.5 kA at 690 V, so it handles high-fault utility feeds without cascading upstream. Insulation voltage is rated at 800 V (Ui). Front protection is IP40; the breaker is designed for panel-mount integration with a depth of 86 mm, width of 140 mm, and height of 181 mm.
Integration notes for the panel builder
Mounting dimensions are 140 mm wide by 181 mm tall by 86 mm deep — verify your panel cutout and gland plate clearance before committing the back panel layout. The 4-pole footprint matches standard SENTRON 3VA2 drilled patterns, so a panel already punched for a 3VA2 frame should accept this drop-in. An optional motor drive (product extension) is available for remote switching. The ETU550 trip unit communicates over the integrated communication function; plan for a wiring channel to the controller or BMS. No undervoltage release or ground-fault monitoring version is fitted on this variant.
