The ETU860M electronic trip unit gives you adjustable trip classes (10A, 10/10E, 20/20E, 30/30E), which means you can match the thermal curve to your motor's starting profile: a 10A class trips faster on overload for a low-inertia pump, while 30/30E gives a longer ramp-up window for a high-inertia fan or conveyor. At 415 V it interrupts 440 kA — that's a very high breaking capacity for a 100 A frame, meaning it can sit on a high-fault bus without needing upstream current-limiting fuses. Three-pole design, rated insulation voltage 800 V. The unit includes communication capability, phase failure detection, and other measurement functions — so it can feed status back to a PLC or SCADA system if you wire the auxiliary contacts and comm module. Ground-fault monitoring uses summation current formation on the L-conductor, which catches leakage without a separate GFCI module.
