The breaker holds full 100 A up to 50 °C ambient; at 55 °C it derates to 96.25 A, at 60 °C to 92.5 A, at 65 °C to 88.75 A, and at 70 °C to 85 A. In a sealed enclosure or a hot machine cabinet, that derating curve tells you whether you need to step up to the next frame or add ventilation. The 105 mm width and 86 mm depth fit standard Siemens 3VA panel cutouts and busbar centers — no re-drilling if you're swapping a 3VA1 or earlier 3VL.
