Siemens 3VA2110-5HL36-0CC0 — 100 A MCCB with 187 kA SCCR at 240 V
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5HL36-0CC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA figure at 240 V means it can safely clear a fault on a high-capacity transformer secondary without upstream fuses needing to coordinate — a real advantage in a main or feeder position where available fault current is high.
Fit and integration — panel space and auxiliary wiring
The breaker occupies 105 mm width, 181 mm height, and 86 mm depth — a standard SENTRON 3VA2 footprint that drops into existing DIN-rail or panel-mount cutouts without re-drilling. It ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) and two HQ auxiliary switches pre-installed, so the control wiring for shunt trip monitoring and status feedback is already accounted for in the BOM. The 12.5 W maximum power loss is low enough that adjacent devices in a tightly packed enclosure won't see thermal stress from this unit alone.
