What it is and what the ratings mean
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5HL36-0DL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. That flat thermal curve means it holds its 100 A rating in a warm panel without a size bump. Its interrupting ratings climb to 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. At 415 V, 121 kA SCCR means it can clear a bolted fault up to that level without the upstream breaker needing to take over — critical for selectivity in a distribution panel feeding motor control centers. The breaker is fitted with an undervoltage release (UVR) and a complement of auxiliary switches: 2 auxiliary switches, 1 trip alarm switch, and 1 electrical alarm switch (HQ type). The UVR trips the breaker when control voltage drops below a threshold — standard practice for preventing automatic restart after a brownout on a conveyor or pump line.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions: 181 mm high, 105 mm wide, 86 mm deep. The 105 mm width is the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for a 100 A frame — it will drop into the same mounting cutout as other SENTRON 3VA breakers of this frame size. Verify the busbar or lug kit pattern against your existing panel layout; the basic switch variant is 3VA21105HL360AA0.
