What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5HL36-0JH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated at 100 A continuous current (Iu) with an ETU320 electronic overcurrent release. It's built for line protection — no ground-fault monitoring, no phase-failure detection, no communication module. The interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415/440 V, and still holds 79 kA at 500 V; at 690 V it drops to 4.25 kA, so keep that in mind if you're speccing for a 690 V bus. Dimensions are 181 mm high, 105 mm wide, 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for panel layouts. The integrated shunt trip (STL) and the auxiliary switch pack (2 aux + 1 trip alarm HQ) come factory-fitted, so you're not adding them later on the DIN rail.
Temperature derating — the real current limit
The 100 A rating holds from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient. At 55 °C it derates to 96.25 A, at 60 °C to 92.5 A, at 65 °C to 88.75 A, and at 70 °C to 85 A. If this breaker sits in a hot enclosure — say, next to a drive or in a non-ventilated panel — the 70 °C figure is the one you'll actually design to, not the nameplate 100 A. Operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
