Line protection with ETU350 — what the ratings mean for your panel
The 3VA2110-5HN32-0AC0: Thermal derating is published per the datasheet: the breaker carries 100 A continuously up to 50 °C ambient, then derates to 96.25 A at 55 °C, 92.5 A at 60 °C, 88.75 A at 65 °C, and 85 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the 100 A nameplate is not the usable rating — the derated figure is what governs conductor sizing and load planning. Operating ambient range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
Integration and mounting
Three-pole construction, 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep. The 86 mm depth is the dimension from the mounting surface to the front of the breaker — relevant when fitting into a gland plate or enclosure with limited door clearance. IP40 on the front face, meaning protection against solid objects over 1 mm but no water ingress protection; this is a panel-interior device, not a washdown or outdoor unit. The auxiliary contact version is 2 auxiliary switches HQ, which provide status feedback for the open/closed position and the trip condition — useful for PLC inputs or remote indication. No undervoltage release, no voltage trigger, no ground fault monitoring, no communication function on this variant.
