The Siemens 3VA2110-5HN32-0BH0 is a SENTRON 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection. It carries a continuous current of 100 A across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling, which simplifies panel sizing in warm enclosures. Breaking capacity is 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, and 75.6 kA at 500 V — numbers that put it in the high-interrupting range for a 100 A frame. At 690 V it drops to 3.7 kA, so if your system runs 690 V, verify the fault current at that point doesn't exceed that ceiling.
Fit and integration
Ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) and a 2 auxiliary + 1 trip alarm switch configuration. The trip indicator is present, so you get a visual flag on the breaker face after a fault trip — useful for line-down diagnostics without opening the panel door. Maximum power loss is 12.5 W. That's the heat the breaker dumps into the enclosure; factor it into your thermal budget if the panel is tightly packed.
Environmental limits
Operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. The storage minimum is the one to watch if the breaker sits in an unheated warehouse before installation — it's fine down to -40 °C, but let it warm above -25 °C before energizing.
