MCCB for line protection — 100 A, 187 kA at 240 V
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5HN32-0BL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V AC, dropping to 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA figure at 240 V is the headline number for high-fault panels; the 415 V rating still covers most industrial distribution. The breaker is designed for line protection — not motor or feeder-only duty — and includes an undervoltage release (UVR) plus a complement of two auxiliary switches, one trip alarm switch, and one electrical alarm switch (HQ type).
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 181 mm high, 105 mm wide, and 86 mm deep — a standard MCCB footprint for 100 A class. The 86 mm depth is the dimension to watch when routing bus bars or cables behind the breaker. The 105 mm width fits typical 3-pole spacing on a DIN-rail or panel-mount adapter. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 12.5 W.
Auxiliary and release complement
The breaker ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) and a full auxiliary switch set: two auxiliary switches, one trip alarm switch, and one electrical alarm switch (HQ). The trip indicator is present. No ground-fault monitoring or communication function is included. The basic switch supplied is order code 3VA21105HN320AA0.
