What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5HN32-0CL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker sized for 100 A continuous current across the full operating temperature range — 40 °C through 70 °C, no derating needed. That steady 100 A rating means it handles a constant resistive or general load without stepping down as the panel warms up, a practical advantage in crowded enclosures. Interrupting capacity is the headline: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA figure at 240 V covers high-fault utility or transformer-secondaries where available short-circuit current is extreme. At 415 V the 121 kA rating still clears most industrial bus faults without cascading upstream. Designed for line protection — the standard application for a feeder or main breaker in a distribution panel. The 3VA series sits in the Siemens SENTRON family, positioned as the compact, high-performance MCCB line.
Panel fit and auxiliaries
Footprint: 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep. That 86 mm depth is the dimension from the mounting surface to the front — important for enclosure depth planning and gland-plate clearance. Three poles in a single block, so it occupies one 105 mm-wide slot on the DIN rail or panel-mount plate. Comes factory-fitted with an undervoltage release (UVR) and a full auxiliary switch block: 2 auxiliary switches + 1 trip alarm switch + 1 electrical alarm switch (HQ type). The UVR drops the breaker on loss of control voltage — standard for emergency-stop or undervoltage protection schemes. The alarm switches provide remote status for PLC or SCADA inputs. Trip indicator present — a visible flag or handle position confirms the breaker has tripped on fault, not been manually switched off. No communication function onboard; this is a standalone, non-communicating breaker.
