What it is — and what the ratings mean for your panel
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5HN36-0DA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current at 40 °C through 70 °C — no derating needed across that ambient span, which simplifies panel sizing in warm enclosures (, –,). Breaking capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415/440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V (–). At 240 V that is a very high-interrupt rating — means it can sit upstream of a large step-down transformer or feed a high-fault bus without needing a current-limiting fuse ahead of it. The breaker is designed for line protection and ships with an integrated undervoltage release (UVR). That UVR trips the breaker when control voltage drops below a threshold — common in safety circuits or emergency-stop chains where loss of control power must open the main feeder.
Dimensions and panel fit
Mounting footprint: 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep (–, –). That width is standard for a 3-pole MCCB in the 100 A frame class — fits existing Siemens 3VA panel cutouts and busbar risers without re-drilling. Power loss at rated current is 12.5 W maximum — low enough that adjacent breakers in a multi-unit enclosure won't force a derating derate if spacing is per manufacturer recommendation.
