The Siemens 3VA2110-5JP32-0AC0 is a SENTRON 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection in distribution panels. Rated 100 A continuous current with a trip-unit range adjustable from 150 A minimum to 1 200 A maximum, it covers motor and feeder protection in a single 3-pole frame. The breaker carries a communication function for integration with higher-level control systems, and ships with two HQ auxiliary switches pre-installed.
Short-circuit ratings by voltage level
The interrupting capacity defines where this breaker can be applied without upstream fusing. At 240 V it clears 187 kA — enough for most service-entrance and high-fault industrial panels. At 415 V and 440 V it holds 121 kA, dropping to 75.6 kA at 500 V and 3.7 kA at 690 V. The 690 V figure is low enough that a downstream fault at that voltage would require coordination with a current-limiting device; for typical 400 V distribution the 121 kA rating gives generous SCCR headroom.
Thermal performance — flat derating to 70 °C
The breaker holds its full 100 A rating from 40 °C through 70 °C ambient without derating. That means it can be packed into a warm enclosure — near a transformer or in a non-ventilated cabinet — without having to oversize the frame. Operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 10 W.
Dimensions and panel fit
The 3VA2110-5JP32-0AC0 measures 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that drops into SENTRON mounting bases and busbar systems without adapters. The 86 mm depth (3.39 in) is shallow enough for shallow backpan enclosures where a deeper frame would conflict with the gland plate or door clearance.
