Integrator note — 3VA2110-5JP32-0DL0
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5JP32-0DL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That SCCR headroom makes it a fit for high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries where a standard MCCB would cascade. The breaker includes an undervoltage release and a communication function, plus a 2-auxiliary-switch + 1-trip-alarm + 1-electrical-alarm HQ auxiliary switch block. Panel space: 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep.
Selectivity & coordination
Rated for line protection, the 3VA2110-5JP32-0DL0 is designed for selectivity in distribution panels. The 100 A continuous rating and 187 kA SCCR at 240 V mean it can sit downstream of a larger main breaker and still clear a bolted fault without upstream trip — provided the upstream device's let-through is coordinated. The undervoltage release (UVR) allows remote shunt-trip for emergency-off circuits. Communication function supports integration with a BMS or PLC for load-shedding or power-quality monitoring.
Mounting & integration
Mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount base. The auxiliary switch block (2 aux + 1 trip alarm + 1 electrical alarm HQ) occupies the left-side accessory slot. The UVR coils are wired to a separate control voltage — verify polarity and voltage rating before energizing. Power loss is 12.5 W maximum; account for that in enclosure thermal calculations, especially in a sealed panel above 50 °C.
