The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5JP32-0JA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current, sized for line-protection duty in distribution panels. It carries a shunt trip release (STL) and a communication function, meaning it can be remotely tripped and integrated into a monitoring network — useful when you need to kill a feeder from a PLC or SCADA without walking the panel.
Interrupting capacity and thermal performance
At 240 V it interrupts 187 kA; at 415 V and 440 V that drops to 121 kA, then 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. The 800 V rated insulation voltage keeps it safe for 690 V systems. On the thermal side, this breaker holds its full 100 A rating from 40 °C all the way up to 70 °C — no derating curve to worry about in a warm panel, which is a real advantage over breakers that start throttling back at 50 °C.
Physical fit and panel integration
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, and 86 mm deep. That 105 mm width is a three-pole MCCB footprint — it clips onto a DIN rail or mounts direct to a backplate. The 86 mm depth leaves room for wiring gutters in a standard 200 mm deep enclosure. No trip indicator on the front face, so fault status comes from the communication function or a visual check of the handle position.
